Delta Gamma

Message from the President
My name is Natalie Castillon-Tsugita and I am the Chapter President of Delta Gamma! I am currently a third-year studying Nutritional Science in Public Health. When I first arrived at UC Davis as a freshman, I had no plans to go through recruitment. However, I ended up signing up the day before it closed. I had no idea that this last minute decision would become one of the best choices I’ve made in college.
Through Delta Gamma, I have met an incredible group of women who are fun, driven, kind, and endlessly supportive. Our chapter truly embodies our motto, “Do Good,” in everything we do. Each quarter, we host philanthropy events to raise money for Service for Sight, a cause that is especially meaningful to us. Our advisor, Gena Harper, who is blind, inspires our chapter every day through her advocacy and impact.
Our biggest event of the year is Anchorsplash! Every spring, the UC Davis community comes together at the Rec Pool to watch relay races, a belly-flop competition, and choreographed dances from participating teams. It's always a fun and memorable event!
Every member of Delta Gamma brings something unique to our chapter, and it is that individuality and support for one another that makes this community so special. I feel incredibly lucky to serve as President of a chapter that constantly brings me joy and inspires me every day.
With love,
Natalie Castillon-Tsugita

Message from the Recruitment Team
Hey everyone! My name is Rylee Weon and I am a third year Psychology major with a biological emphasis and the Vice President of Membership of Delta Gamma. I joined DG because of how often I found myself laughing in every conversation I had with the members during formal recruitment my first year at Davis. The connections felt incredibly genuine and effortless, and I could immediately tell that this was the chapter for me – where I could feel comfortable truly expressing myself.
Coming to Davis, I was looking for a sense of community, and recruitment seemed like the perfect opportunity to meet people with shared values of belonging. Additionally, I decided to go through recruitment because growing up with an older brother I had always wished for a sister. Someone I could go to for advice and guidance while also being that support for someone else. Delta Gamma gave me even more than I could have imagined. An incredible sisterhood where I found women who inspire me and became my greatest role models and closest friends.
I was not expecting to find a group of such compassionate and emotionally intelligent women who understand me like no other. They keep me grounded and have always been there to lift me up, remind me of my worth, and support me through every high and low. I value the small, memorable moments we share, whether that’s motivating each other through late night study sessions in the library, dancing to our favorite songs like no one's watching, or laughing till our stomachs hurt over the silliest things.
To me, sisterhood lies within these moments of warmth, whimsy, and recognition. These bonds fuel my drive to become the best version of myself, knowing I am grounded in support and love from my sisters. I feel very fortunate for the opportunity to lead recruitment this year as I’m most looking forward to embodying these values, fostering new connections, and helping others find their home – just as I found mine in Delta Gamma.
