Alpha Delta Pi

Message from the President
Hi!! My name is Sana Jayavarapu and I am the Chapter President for Alpha Delta Pi. I am a third-year student and I’m studying Human Development! I joined Alpha Delta Pi because I was looking for a genuine sense of belonging, and from the start, I felt supported, welcomed, and able to be fully myself. Going Greek gave me the opportunity to build meaningful friendships, grow as a leader, and be part of something bigger than myself. What makes Alpha Delta Pi so special is how authentic and driven our members are. We continuously push each other to grow, celebrate each other’s successes, and are there for one another during the hard times. I’m extremely proud to represent a group of women who consistently represent our values, whether it’s through academics, leadership, or the way we support the people around us.
Running for Chapter President was my way of giving back to a chapter that has given me so much. I wanted to help build an environment where every member feels heard, valued, and empowered. One of the most meaningful parts of my experience has been meeting some of my best friends, who also happen to be my amazing fam! I’m so lucky to have found girls who make me laugh every day, listen to my extremely long rants, and never say no when I want to get food. From late-night pizookie runs to travelling across the country to see each other, we’ve made so many memories together and they have become a pivotal part of my college experience.
Our chapter is proud to support Ronald McDonald House, which supports families with children who are receiving medical care by providing housing, comfort, and resources during difficult times. Each year, we host many events to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House, including Lion’s Cup, our annual week-long kickball tournament. We are also very lucky to have a Ronald McDonald House right here in Sacramento and are able to volunteer in person with all the families and children! Seeing the direct impact of our efforts has been incredibly rewarding, and it’s something that truly unites our chapter while reinforcing our commitment to giving back

Message from the Recruitment Team
Hi everyone! I’m Danielle Rasmussen and I serve as Alpha Delta Pi’s Vice President of Recruitment this year! This is my second year at UC Davis, majoring in Environmental Science and Management and minoring in Public Health. I knew I wanted to Go Greek after I received my acceptance letter to find a group of girls who I could rely upon and could lift each other up. My last conversation at Alpha Delta Pi during the final round ended up being with the sister I had my very first conversation with during recruitment. I felt I honestly connected with her and she was able to show me all that the chapter had done for her. The chapter’s genuine connections and conversions stood out to me and I knew I wanted to run home to them. This year, I am excited to share the passion and commitment I have to my chapter with girls going through recruitment!
My name is Alexis Levin, and I am Alpha Delta Pi’s Director of Primary Recruitment. I’m a third-year majoring in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning with a minor in Managerial Economics. While I was initially nervous about going Greek, I knew I was looking for a community where I felt comfortable and supported. After transferring to Davis, I found that in Alpha Delta Pi. During primary recruitment last fall, I chose Alpha Delta Pi because every conversation felt genuine and easy, and I felt at home even before I joined. During Preference round, I met an incredible sister who later became my Big and now my roommate. My Big and GBig have shaped my experience in such a meaningful way, and I truly feel like I’ve found a family and foundation here. What makes our chapter special is the people. Everyone brings something different, but a shared sense of support and connection makes it feel like home. I’m especially excited about Primary Recruitment this fall and the opportunity to share that experience with PNMs seeking the same sense of belonging.
