Message from the President
Message from the Recruitment Team
Hello! My name is Lauren Nobleza, and I’m the Chapter President of Alpha Chi Omega at UC Davis. I’m a third-year Political Science major with a minor in Psychology. What made me fall in love with Alpha Chi is the genuine and lasting bond shared among our sisters. It’s a community where I know I can always find support, whether I need encouragement during a tough time or someone to laugh with. I was inspired to serve as Chapter President because I am incredibly proud to represent such a strong, authentic group of women. Leading this chapter has been an honor, and it’s something I’m deeply passionate about. This year, I’ve also had the opportunity to live with my big and other members of our chapter, which has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my college life. Alpha Chi has introduced me to friendships I know will last far beyond my time here at Davis. Our philanthropy is another cornerstone of our sisterhood. Supporting domestic violence awareness is something every member of Alpha Chi cares deeply about. The proceeds from our events go toward this cause, and we proudly support Empower Yolo, which is a local nonprofit that provides vital resources for individuals and families affected by domestic violence. Alpha Chi Omega has truly transformed my life, and I can’t imagine what my life would be without it.
Hi hi, I’m Ava and I’m our VP of Recruitment! I am a third year majoring in psychology with a biological emphasis, and minoring in education. I originally never saw myself joining a sorority, but after struggling to make friends my first week in Davis, I eventually signed up for recruitment. I’m glad that I was able to push myself out of my introverted boundaries because it allowed me to meet so many new people, and eventually find my home at Alpha Chi! Every time I walked out of Alpha Chi’s house, I felt more and more connected to the chapter. I shared many laughs, and felt the genuine kindness that each circulated through each and every sister. From the day I accepted my bid, to this very moment, I knew that I had someone rooting for me every step of the way. I am so thankful that Alpha Chi Omega brought me my very first friend at Davis (shoutout Allison) and the sweetest little (hi Claire). The support system I gained through Alpha Chi has made the biggest impact in my college life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Hi everyone! My name is Haley Hein, and I am Vice President of Recruitment Information. I’m a third-year majoring in Human Development. I honestly never saw myself in a sorority, however my mom would talk endlessly about her friends from her sorority and how they still keep in touch today. I actually transferred to UC Davis as a sophomore, and coming here was honestly really scary. I didn’t know anyone, and I felt extremely out of my comfort zone. I have always wanted to make long lasting friendships, and knew that joining a sorority would open me up to finding life time friends. Growing up with three brothers and no sisters, sisterhood was something I had always longed for. Finding those deep connections was very important to me, which is what led me to Alpha Chi Omega. I found my best friends and sisters who will always stick by my side and I found a community of amazing women that changed my entire college experience for the better.
Alpha Chi Omega truly helped the both of us find our lifelong friendships. One of our favorite moments was our chapter retreat at River Electric, where we spent time tanning and talking by the pool, and bonding with each other through fun activities. We’re looking forward to meeting all of you going through recruitment, and hope to help you find your forever friends as well!!!
